Anita Louise Wingo, 82, of Neptune, NJ and Concord, NC, passed away in her daughter's home on August 18, 2015.  She was born in Long Branch, NJ on January 4, 1933 to Clayton and Florence Smith.

Anita attended and graduated from Asbury Park High School. After school, Anita held various positions as a housekeeper along with her sisters Delores and Joan.  She was employed for many years with Flori Roberts, Inc.  She then spent many years as a C.N.A. at The Lodge where she remained until she retired.

Anita has been a proud and devoted member of Faith Baptist Tabernacle from day 1, which was Febuary 1966 when the doors of the church opened. She was a member of the Deaconess Ministry, Benevolence Ministry, and Senior Ministry. She was a student of Bible Class and helped with Vacation Bible School. Anita was a part of the Pastors Aide Ministry and a Mother of the church.

She met and married the love of her life, Lamarr Wingo, in 1951 and from that union together they had 5 children, Lamarr Jr., Nadine with whom she resided in North Carolina, Barry, Lloyd and Gregory.

Anita is survived by her children, Lamarr (Denise), Nadine, Barry (Yvonne), Lloyd, and Gregory; 9 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Walter Smith (Valerie) of Willingboro NJ, and Robert Robinson of Wall Township, NJ; 4 sisters, Flora Bellamy of Utah, Althea Smith of Massachusetts, Regina Smith of Asbury Park, NJ ,and Sandra Hamlet of Texas; 2 brother in-laws; 4 sister in-laws; and will be greatly missed by her numerous nieces and nephews.

Anita's granddaughter, Dana, was as devoted to her grandmother as anyone could be. Her nickname for Anita was Lucy and they spent countless moments laughing.  Whenever Dana called her Lucy, that beautiful smile would appear.

Lloyd - I love you mom. I miss you. I'll see you soon, but I'll see you later

Barry - I always think of you mom, I will never forget you.  I need you now, but I will stand by Nadine. I love you always and forever. R.I.P.

Gregory - You are my best woman, my friend, and I will always love you.

Nadine - I love you more than words can say, and I thank god that he gave you and I time to spend together. Thank you for the smiles and laughter that you brought into our lives. It always did my heart good to see you laugh, smile and be so silly. I never knew you were so silly. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for teaching me to survive. Love and miss you dearly, my heart aches. R.I.P.

Jerome - Grandma…words cannot begin to express my love and gratitude for you. The hardest part is not saying goodbye but learning to live each day without you. I'm so grateful that you were able to hear my voice before you left this place and go to the place that Pop Pop has reserved for you. I love you so much and I know you will be watching over me as you did since day one.
