Alexis Ebony Allen, 21, of Lakewood, New Jersey passed away in Norfolk, Virginia on Wednesday, August 21, 2019. She was born on May 15, 1998 to Jazelle Williams and Marcel Brown.

Unfortunately, at the age of 21 years, Alexis wasn't able to experience life in the way we all should. She went through a great deal, however, she always kept smiling. She had a smile that would "Light UP" a room!  She was loving, caring, and very "FUNNY". She could get assertive and sometimes aggressive, however that was a part of who she was.

She was the proud mother of two beautiful children, and a "Ride or Die" sister constantly preaching Eli, "Do Right"! She would run through a brick wall for her children and me; and for anyone else that she truly cared about.

Even though she lived in Virginia, she will forever be a part of By Faith Ministries Church of God in Lakewood, New Jersey. Alexis considered the church congregation as her family.  They constantly kept her in prayer.

Prior to her passing, Alexis received a new job as a senior citizen aid.  She would have started her employment on August 23, just two days after she was taken from us.  Her goal was to make a better life for herself and her children.  God called her name.

Alexis is survived by her son, Jalen Gordon; daughter, Avianna Gordon; brother, Elijah Allen; uncle, Jacob Samuels; guardian mother, Kim Singleton; and a host of family and friends.
