Rudolph T. Shaw, 80, of Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey passed away on October 12, 2018. He was born on April 24, 1938 in Durham, North Carolina to Thomas and Oliva Shaw.
Rudy graduated from high school in Washington, DC. He later enlisted in the United States Air Force and served during the Vietnam War. He also was employed in the United States Postal Service in Washington, DC.
Rudolph married the love of his life, Miriam, and moved to Asbury Park, New Jersey. He was employed as the manager of Monmouth County Care JL Montgomery Nursing Home in Freehold, New Jersey, and was later employed at East Jersey State Prison (formerly Rahway State Prison) in Rahway, New Jersey.
Rudolph is predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Oliva Shaw; daughter, Leandra M. Shaw; son, Henry D. Shaw; 5 sisters; and 3 brothers.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Miriam Shaw; son, Kelvin Shaw; 4 grandchildren, Kynisha, Aquiane, Branden, and Henry; 6 great grandchildren, Leilani, Landen, Lawson, Linzie, Genevieve, and Kavon; 1 foster son, Teddy Jardine; 4 step grandchildren, Jenia, Deorndra, Ebony, and Vincent; 4 sisters in law, Effie Pressley, Juanita Browning, Barbara Dickerson, and Marilyn Jackson; 1 brother in law, Tony Pressley; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
