Moses "Net" Irving, 87, of Neptune, New Jersey passed away on Thursday July 28, 2017 at Coral Harbor Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Neptune City, New Jersey. He was born on May 15, 1930 in Jones County, North Carolina to Clarence and Lina Irving.
Moses was a proud veteran who served in the United States Army in 1951. He was a Paratrooper jumping fearlessly out of planes in the Korean War.
He was employed with the Ford car company for years until they closed down. He was then employed by DuPont in Parlin, New Jersey where he retired.
Moses was a devoted member of Friendship Baptist Church, Asbury Park, New Jersey. He was a member of the Deacon Board until he could no longer serve. He loved his church and church family.
He was married to Ammie Helen Ross of Phoenix, Arizona for 10 beautiful years until God called her home. They were a match made in heaven.
Moses was predeceased by his wife, Ammie Irving; five sisters, Catherine Hill, Mary Elvy Ollison, Alice Jerkins, Lina Bell Irving, and Hilda Grier; three brothers, Charles Irving, James Philip Irving, and Leamon Irving.
He is survived by his son, Wesley Fortune of Florida; child, Cedric Aurora Irving of Asbury Park, New Jersey; baby girl, Jeneice birchett of Atlanta, GA; three grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family.
Moses was loved by all and will be missed by those in his community. He was a great man and a treasure to us all. May God bless him and Heaven smile upon him.
