To Marion’s Family: Marion and I became fast friends at Wayside Elementary mostly because he was the friendliest guy there. OT Intermediate and High School followed and we stayed friends throughout. If anyone came up to me and said, “Do you know Marion Stephens?” I’d reply, “Of course! He’s one of my best friends!” even though it’s been nearly 30 years since we last spoke. We shared common interests and a love of life. I miss him today like I last saw him yesterday. You all are in my thoughts for the loss your must feel.

As you try to comprehend this profound loss know that it is okay to grieve the loss of your dear loved one. For the true God in the heavens feel your pain - Isaiah 41:10. He knows your suffering and will help you cope with your grief. Job 10:1 says " I will speak out in my bitter distress". Have faith in God's promise written at Acts 24:15 which expresses the hope of seeing your dead loved ones again. It is comforting for us to know that God does not cause suffering and that one day it will end.
