Corinda Hall

Corinda Scott Hall made her earthly transition on Saturday, October 6, 2018, in Lakewood, New Jersey.  She was born on June 22, 1925, at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, New Jersey, but lived most of her adult life in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Corinda was nurtured and cared for by her adoptive parents, James and Mary Scott.  Corinda spent her formative years attending the Red Bank School System and subsequently attended Brookdale Community College obtaining an Associate Degree, in Tinton Falls, New Jersey.

Corinda was determined to follow her heart and make a new life for herself in the Northeast.  There her life presented a new way of positive growth with her new friend, Ike.  New surroundings, new career, new friends, cold and very cold, but, this is where life had determined she should be.  Small in stature, strong, determined, fast forward, emotional and stubborn and would be complex at times.

Loves music and dancing and a good joke.  Independent and will let you know it, loved talk and would keep you on the phone for hours.  She had such a love for people and a strong belief in God.

We the family pay homage to our biological grandmother, Lucy Dubois for the blessing of giving birth to our Corinda.  We celebrate this life of our Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother.

Corinda is predeceased by her mother, Lucy Dubois; her adoptive parents, Mary and James Scott; one sister, Carolyn Adams; her late husband, Harold Moss; her grandson, Malik Walters and her nephews, Mark and Carl Adams.

Corinda leaves her memory to cherish her daughter, Sharon Kelley (Felix Kelley); her daughter, Valerie Mills; her son, Harold Raymond Moss; her grandchildren, to include; Troy, Kelly and Michelle Walters, Monique Mills and Tamanikka Moss-Mills and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and close family friends, Gwendolyn Brown and Mr. & Mrs. Lloyd Creswell .

Our beloved family roots originated from Chapel Hill, North Carolina – A rich legacy and history.  We thank God for her life.
