Bonita Carter Johnson Forte, 71, of Browns Mills, NJ passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 in Burlington, NJ. She was born in Jamesburg, NJ on October 16, 1948 to John and Grace Massey.
Affectionately known as Bonnie, she was educated in the Monroe Township School and graduated from Jamesburg High School in 1966. After getting married she moved to Newark, NJ where she attended Newark Teachers College. During her career she worked for RCA as a circuit board assembler, and finally at Dow Jones as a Training Services Coordinator.
Bonnie marred Eric Carter and they were blessed with the birth of a daughter, Ginger “Gigi” Carter. She then married John Johnson and enjoyed the joy of her second child, Jason. Ultimately, she met and married Emory C. Forte Jr. They were longtime residents of Browns Mills, NJ. Bonnie enjoyed spending time baking, collecting frogs and tea pots. She also enjoyed the pleasures of games of chance and the casino environment.
Bonnie was predeceased by her parents, John and Grace Massey of Jamesburg, NJ; and brother, John Massey. She is survived by her loving husband, Emory C. Forte Junior, Browns Mills, NJ; daughter, Ginger P. Carter, of Atlanta, GA; son, Minister Jason Johnson of Jackson ,TN; two step children, LaVetta M. Forte of Mount Holly, NJ, and Brian M. (Kim) Forte of Willingboro, NJ; siblings, Stanley (Carolyn) Massey of East Windsor, NJ, and Kim Robert (Vanita) Massey, of Overland Park, KS; grandchildren, Anastasia, Paige, Dominic, Darius, Jexton, Destiny, and Brian Jr.; and a host of family and friends.
