Anne Lee Brockenbury transitioned from life to everlasting life with our Lord and Savior on June 1, 2018. She was born on May 10, 1937 to Anthony Columbus Turner Sr. and Mona Harriet Smith.
Anne attended and graduated from Lakewood High School, Lakewood, NJ in 1955. She also received her MA from Monmouth University. She was employed at Merck Pharmaceutical Company, Edna Mahan Correctional Facility, National Council on Aging (NCOA), and New Jersey Department of Labor.
She was loved and respected by many friends, peers and her family. Anne accepted Jesus Christ as a child and later rededicated her life to Him.
She was predeceased by her husband, John E. Brockenbury; parents, Anthony Columbus Turner Sr. and Mona Smith Turner; brother, Anthony C. Turner; and several aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her life partner, George Tooks; three children, Paul L. Clark Jr. and his wife, Kim of Atlanta GA, Pastor Jeffrey Leon Clark and his wife, Faith of Bethlehem PA, and Reverend Valerie Anne Mitchell and her husband, Fred of Voorhees, NJ; brother, Lamar C. Turner; an older sister, Retha Mae Montgomery; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins and friends.
