Shongo Gomez Obituary

Shongo "Shanx" Gomez, 46, of Asbury Park, NJ passed away on Monday, January 6, 2020 at home in Neptune, NJ. Shon was born on September 21, 1973 in Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, NJ.

He graduated from Asbury Park High School, Asbury Park, NJ in 1991. Shon attended North Carolina A&T State University, Greensboro, NC for two years after he graduated from high school. When he returned home, he was employed in a number of jobs until accepting a position at Nylabone in Neptune City, NJ.

Shon was predeceased by his loving mother, Gloria Wooten; and aunt, LaVerne Brown. He is survived by his two sons, Shon N. Gomez of Neptune, NJ, and Jaylen (Sabrina) Gomez of Virginia; granddaughter, Ayla Gomez; his sons mother, Linda Diaz; aunt, Tanya Daniels; great aunts, Loretta Williams and Ruby Evans; and a host of family and friends who loved him dearly.
