Raphael D. Williams, Sr.

Raphael “Deon” Williams Sr. departed this earth too young, at the age of 47, at Capital Health Hospital in Trenton, NJ. He was born February 5, 1972 in Long Branch, NJ to Cleveland and Mary Williams.

Deon was a lifelong resident of Long Branch until a few years ago when he relocated to Trenton, NJ. There he lived with his dear cousin, Jermaine Freeman. Jermaine and Tyrone were very good to him.

Deon attended Long Branch schools. While there, he loved and played basketball where he excelled and received many awards. He worked many years at Cappy’s Trucking Company in Newark, NJ as an independent owner/operator.

He is predeceased by his parents, Cleveland and Mary Williams; and son, Rahmel Adams. He is survived by his son, Raphael “Deon” Williams of Toms River, NJ; grandchildren, Rah’Asia and Kiyan of NC, and Laila of NJ; sister, Theola Williams (Phillip) of Clayton, NJ; brothers, Cleveland Williams Jr. of Staten Island, NY, Nathaniel Williams (Angela) of Clayton, NJ, and Jevon Smith of Middletown, DE; sisters, Debora Regester (Lamont) of Fairmont Heights, MD, Lucricia Schwartz-Brown (Mansel) of New Market, AL, Marvin “Darryl” Evans ( Debora) of Tinton Falls, NJ, Eddie Evans (Nina) of Willingboro, NJ, and Christopher Evans of Newark, NJ; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
