Robert Taylor, Jr. Obituary

Robert Taylor Jr., also known as Born Master, age 52, was born in Asbury Park, NJ to Robert Taylor, Sr. and Jacqueline Taylor on November 28, 1965. He returned to the essence on January 25, 2018.

He was a lifelong resident of Asbury Park.  Born attended Bangs Avenue Elementary School and graduated from Asbury Park High School. He was employed as a city worker for the town of Asbury Park where he proudly served his community for over 24 years.  He was also Vice President of the Union’s committee.

Born was a lifetime member of the Five-Percent Nation. In the year of 1978 he gained knowledge of himself and chose the name of Born Master Supreme Allah.  He was a very dedicated brother to the Nation of God’s & Earth’s known as the 5%.  A Frontline Warrior for the Nation thus earning the nickname “The Crusher.”  He was an honorable man and well respected in his community.  There wasn’t a corner he couldn’t turn without hearing “Peace Born.”

Born had many accomplishments in life, however the one he was most proud of was the birth of his daughter, Layelle Taylor, now age 22.  He was proud of the woman she is becoming.

Born took pride in being the head man of his family.  He respectfully and honorably took on the fatherly role with all of his nieces and nephews. He taught many valuable lessons to them, and gave great advice that his family and friends will always carry with them. The most memorable being “Save Your Money!”

He and his mother, Jacqueline Taylor, were especially close as they shared the same birthday which they celebrated together each and every year. He enjoyed family BBQ’s where he took charge of the grill. He also enjoyed traveling to visit his father whom he greatly admired.

Born is predeceased by Michelle Taylor of Asbury Park; Nancy “Melissa” Taylor of Asbury Park; Robin and James Thomas of North Carolina; Arthur and Mary Taylor of Ohio; Laurence “Peanut” Wilson of Asbury Park;  Cassandra Taylor and Edwin Taylor of Georgia; Darlene McIntyre of Florida; Bobby Smith of Neptune; and one God Daughter Shameera Thomas.
