Welcome to the memorial page for

Marion V. Stephens

February 16, 1968 ~ December 13, 2017 (age 49) 49 Years Old

Marion Vincent “Steven” Stephens would like you to know that his work here is done. He received a promotion offer that could not be refused. Although Steven’s promotion was sudden, during his first assignment he lived life to the fullest and always believed better was in store for him.

Steven graduated from Ocean Township High School where he played basketball & football. After high school, he attended Trenton State College where he was a member of the gospel choir and he also pledged Lambda Theta Phi.

After college Steven enjoyed employment where he was able to assist and interact with many people. He enjoyed working for First Option as a Sales Manager, Sears as a customer service representative, and most recently, George’s Tavern as a security officer/bartender.

Steven enjoyed good music, dancing, martial arts, dungeons and dragons, comics, and was a true Harry Potter fan. As a youth and young adult Steven was an active member of the True Vine Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Tom Miles and Rev. Michael Grady.  He was a member of the Young People’s choir and later the Young Adult’s choirs.

With his new assignment came a huge sign-on bonus (eternal life) and a reunion with family and friends he has not seen in a long time. Steven was predeceased by paternal grandparents, Lloyd and Ada Stephens; maternal grandparents, James and Frances Roberson; uncles, James T. Roberson, Jerry W. Stephens, Leroy Stephens, George Stephens, and Lloyd Stephens; aunts, Connie Lee, Henrietta Robinson, Loyce Stephens, Otheia Williams, and cousin Joel Smith.

Although Steven has relocated, his memory lives on through his son, Marin Vincent Stephens; grandson, Vincent Stephens; granddaughter, Armonni Long-Stephens; mother, Blossie Stephens; father, Marion Stephens (Brenda); brother, Michael Turner; sister, Stephanie Gordon; nephews, Isaiah Gordon and Michael Turner Jr.; and godmother, Hattie Smith. Also left to cherish his life, love, and laughter are a host of beloved relatives and friends.

Job security is exactly 110 percent. His new mission has taken him to a wonderful place where he will continue socializing, dancing, and reading to his heart’s content with laughter and everlasting love.
