Helen Rebecca McDuffie Morgan, 75, passed away on September 22, 2017. She was born in Neptune, New Jersey on June 24, 1942 to the late Benjamin and Ella McDuffie, Sr.
She was educated in the Neptune Township school system, and graduated from Neptune High School, Neptune New Jersey. Helen accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at an early age and served as a member of the church choir.
She was employed as a beautician in her own shop in Columbus, Georgia. She also worked at the Asbury Park Press, Roxanne Swim Suit Factory, and prior to her passing, as a bus attendant for the Jay’s Bus Service.
Helen joined the Order of the Eastern Star in February 17, 1978. She held the positions of Past Worthy Matron of Adah Chapter #17, Past Commandress of Majah Court #136, Past Most Ancient Matron of Bathsheba Court #10, Past Loyal Lady Ruler of Gethsemane Assembly #33, and Past District Deputy Grand Matron of Ozeil Grand Chapter for the Fourth O.E.S. District.
Helen was joined in marriage to Charles Morgan on November 28, 1998.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Morgan; four children, Hecules Gladden, Jr. of Columbus, Georgia, Suzan Davis of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Reginald Gladden of Phenix City, Alabama, and Glynis Gladden of Port St. Lucie, Florida; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; mother, Ella E. Ford of Neptune, New Jersey; and a host of relatives and friends.
Sleep on Helen and take your rest, we loved you so much, but God loved you best.
