Growing up on Lockwood Ave. in Freehold was a wholesome and unique experience. Exposed to many helpful elders in which gave wisdom and direction needed to develop a formidable personality. As a youth Helen enjoyed many years of Brownies and Girl Scouts in the Freehold area. Freehold afforded its youth with such learning opportunities as Summer Music School where Helen learned to play the clarinet coupled with her vocal abilities and every summer she participated in the community Vacation Bible School where along with Sunday school received her initial biblical education.

As Helen matured as an adult she gave back to her community by working in the medical field caring for the sick and was a hospice care giver in which she infused her sacred calling. In an effort to embrace her sacred calling she joined Grace and Peace Church in Toms River, New Jersey and enrolled in many theological classes to equip herself for ministry. She then moved to Monmouth County at the onset of illness with her children and joined the Macedonia Church family of Neptune, New Jersey.
