Aundre Lamont Donaldson, 52, of Jersey City, NJ passed away on Monday, April 16, 2018. He was born in Lakewood, NJ on August 31, 1965 to Walter F. and Julia Donaldson.
Aundre studied at the New Jersey Institute of Technology and began his career in January 1996 at Time Warner Cable as a Customer Service Representative in Flushing, Queens. Through stellar performance and several promotions he moved into the Help Desk, Client Relations, and Administrative Assistant positions and concluded his career as a Business Analyst for the Marketing Team.
Aundre was an avid planner and organizer. He loved coordinating and volunteerism. He was instrumental in coordinating the Time Warner Cable employees in registering and participating in the annual NYC Aids Walk as well as the Puerto Rican and Dominican Day Parades. He was a key member of several employee networks under Time Warner Cable, such as the Black Business Employee Network (BBEN); National Association for Multi Ethnicity in Communications and the Diversity Council. He was also one of the founding members of the NYC OUT Employee Network and later served as the leader of this group.
Aundre was passionate about his community, and his passion resonated with us. He served as the bridge that connected his colleagues to participate in community service. It was hard to say no when Aundre made a request to register for a community event. His colleagues participated because they wanted to help out, and they did it for Aundre. This is what will be greatly missed about Aundre, his ability to bring people or colleagues together whose paths would have probably never crossed.
Aundre, you started out as co-worker with a cordial hello in the morning, you turned into a friend demonstrating interest in our lives, and then you became family in which your well-being was important to us. Your Time Warner Cable and now Charter family are saddened because you left us too soon. The day is not long enough to mention all the great memories that we all have shared.
The book of Ecclesiastes tells us to everything there is a season and time to every purpose under the heaven; a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance. In this season, we will mourn your physical absence from us, we will comfort and console each other. But afterwards we will rejoice, because you are now in the presence of the Lord and at rest. We are rejoicing as to how you bought all of us together.
Aundre is predeceased by his father, Walter Floyd Donaldson, Sr. He is survived by his mother, Julia and her husband, Ronald Stokes, of Irmo, SC; three brothers, Walter Floyd Donaldson, Sr. (Rosa) of Lakewood, NJ, Rodney Darnell Donaldson (Shanna) of Lakewood, NJ, and Glenn Christopher Donaldson (Carmen) of Lakewood, NJ; one sister, Tonya Davis (Lark) of Richmond, VA; dear friend, Marion Gibbs of Salisbury, MD; and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and friends.
